Chairman Lu Wencong Awarded “40-Year Meritorious Figure in the Aroma & Cosmetics Industry”
On October 18, the highly anticipated 2024 Annual Conference and Industry Expo for China’s Fragrance, Flavor, and Cosmetics Industry (2024 CAME) grandly opened at the Nanjing International Expo Center. As the industry’s premier annual event, the conference brought together leading domestic and international enterprises, including Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal, and Bloomage Biotech. Featuring an integrated format of “conference, exhibition, ceremony, and showcase”, the event comprehensively highlighted the development achievements of China’s fragrance and cosmetics sector, while releasing a series of industry standards and trend reports to support high-quality industry growth.
At the prestigious “40-Year Meritorious Figure in the Aroma & Cosmetics Industry” award ceremony, Mr. Lu Wencong, Chairman of Grascent, was honored for nearly five decades of dedication and remarkable contributions to the field.
Mr. Lu has been engaged in the fragrance and flavor industry since the 1970s. Since establishing Grascent in 1999, he has championed technological innovation as the Company’s core driving force, leading to the development of three major product lines — cedarwood oil derivatives, turpentine oil derivatives, the synthetic series products—forming a comprehensive portfolio of nearly 40 fragrance types. Under his leadership, Grascent has secured 24 invention patents and has led or participated in the formulation of 29 national, industry, and group standards. The Company has established three provincial-level R&D platforms, and its products have entered the supply chains of internationally renowned enterprises such as Procter & Gamble and Givaudan, setting a strong example for the global advancement of China’s fragrance industry.
Looking ahead, guided by Chairman Lu’s entrepreneurial vision and a clear development strategy, Grascent will continue to advance.
