On June 13, the 2024 China Fragrance High-Quality Development Forum, hosted by Hangzhou Grascent Co., Ltd., concluded in Jiande, Zhejiang Province. The event gathered President Yan Jiangying and Secretary-General Mu Min of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), leaders from eleven major synthetic fragrance enterprises nationwide, and industry representatives from across China. Yin Gefei, founder of Goldenbee, and his delegation were also invited to participate and explore pathways for sustainable industry development.

At the opening ceremony, Grascent General Manager Hu Jianliang warmly welcomed CAFFCI leaders and industry peers to Jiande and shared the Company’s development philosophy shaped over more than two decades. He noted that this forum aims to build a platform for industry communication and collaboration, promote resource sharing and coordinated development, address key industry bottlenecks, and foster a healthy and resilient industrial ecosystem.
Aligning with the pulse of industry development, Chair Yan Jiangying emphasized in her keynote speech the need to curb malicious low-end competition and to establish a sound market environment where competition and cooperation coexist—laying a solid foundation for the industry’s high-quality development.

During the forum, Mr. Yin Gefei delivered a thematic report titled “ESG Requirements and Responses in International Trade for Fragrance Enterprises”, offering detailed insights into EU conventions, EcoVadis evaluations, and other international frameworks. He analyzed ESG challenges facing domestic enterprises and highlighted ESG performance as a key factor in enhancing global competitiveness. In the discussion session, participants exchanged views on topics including natural fragrance development, applications of synthetic biology, and global trade trends—fostering an industry consensus around “innovation as the core, sustainability as the foundation, and win-win cooperation as the path”.
During the forum, participants also visited Grascent’s Jiande production base, where they highly commended the Company’s achievements in technological R&D, green manufacturing, and standard-setting. The successful hosting of the forum not only established an effective platform for industry exchange but also underscored Grascent’s sense of responsibility and leadership within the sector. Looking ahead, Grascent will continue accelerating technological innovation, strengthening industry–academia–research collaboration, advancing industry standards, and supporting the high-end, green, and international transformation of China’s fragrance sector—contributing to the “strength of Grascent”.
